EX‑CZ81 Explosion‑Proof Plug & Socket Series

The EX‑CZ81 series of explosion‑proof plugs and sockets is engineered for safe, reliable power connection in hazardous gas and dust environments. Certified for ATEX/IECEx Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22, the range is suitable for areas where flammable gases, vapours, or combustible dusts may be present. The enclosures are manufactured from copper‑free aluminium with a durable plastic‑sprayed surface, providing excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength .

Designed with safety as a priority, the system ensures that plugs can only be withdrawn when the switch is off, and power is applied only after the plug is fully inserted . The series offers three enclosure types and supports a wide range of industrial voltages from 100–690 V AC, with current ratings of 16 A, 32 A, 63 A, and 125 A depending on the model . Multiple pole configurations are available, including 2P+PE, 3P+PE, and 3P+N+PE, making the EX‑CZ81 suitable for both single‑phase and three‑phase applications.

All models feature IP66/IP67 ingress protection, robust flameproof “db” and dust‑ignition‑proof “tb” protection, and compliance with EN/IEC 60079‑0, ‑1, and ‑31 standards . UL1203 certification extends suitability to Class I, II, and III Division 1 and 2 hazardous locations .
