EX‑ZM Explosion‑Proof Illumination Switch – 

The EX‑ZM Explosion‑Proof Illumination Switch is a robust, high‑integrity control device designed for reliable operation in hazardous gas and dust environments. Certified for ATEX/IECEx Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 applications , it provides safe switching performance in areas where flammable gases, vapours, or combustible dusts may be present. The enclosure is manufactured from impact‑resistant, copper‑free aluminium with a plastic‑sprayed surface, ensuring long‑term durability and corrosion resistance even in demanding industrial settings .

The switch is available in on/off and two‑way control configurations, with a choice of round (A) or square (B) enclosures to suit installation requirements. Rated up to 660 VAC and offered in 16 A and 25 A variants, the EX‑ZM series supports a wide range of lighting and auxiliary control applications. Its flameproof ‘db’ and dust‑tight ‘tb’ protection concepts, combined with an IP66–IP67 ingress rating, ensure reliable operation in harsh environments including oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, and grain processing sites .

Additional features include cylindrical spigot flameproof joints, multiple cable entry options (M25 or NPT3/4″), and compliance with EN/IEC 60079‑0, ‑1, and ‑31 standards. UL1203 certification further extends suitability to Class I, II, and III Division 1 and 2 hazardous locations in North America .
